BASE: Coe Pitcher Named All-American

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - Junior AJ Reuter (Monticello, Iowa/Monticello) has been named to the All-Central Region teams by both D3baseball.com and the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA).

This is the second-straight year Reuter has been honored by the ABCA, as he was a third-team selection last year. Reuter was a second team selection by the ABCA, while he was a third-team selection by D3baseball.com.

Earlier this year, Reuter was named to the All-Iowa Conference Second Team for the second-straight year. Reuter was second in the Iowa Conference in batting average at .389. He was the only player in the league with 37 or more hits and a batting average over .350. Reuter led the league in runs batted in with 28, while he ranked second in the league with 37 hits. His .441 on-base percentage was the fifth best in the league, while he was third in slugging percentage at .537. His 18 putouts at first base against Simpson on May 2 were tied for the league-high.

Reuter also had the lowest ERA on the team on the mound, as he was 4-4 with a 3.00 ERA. He had one complete game in 57 innings. He struck out a team-high 41 on the hill, while walking just 13.
