Four Alarm Fire Destroys Manchester Home

MANCHESTER, IA (CBS 2/FOX 28) - The Manchester Fire Department says a home is a total loss after a four-alarm fire broke out Thursday night.

Fire Chief Mike Ryan says firefighters responded to the blaze at 2497 167th Avenue around 9pm.

There they found the home fully engulfed in flames, but Ryan says it only took crews about 10-15 minutes to control the fire.

No one was inside during the fire, however a resident of the home reported the blaze after coming home and noticing it was on fire.

Fire Departments from Dehli, Ryan, and Masonville assisted in putting out the fire.

There is no cause of the fire yet and it remains under investigation.
