Josh Oglesby Arrested

IOWA CITY, IA (CBS2/FOX28) -- According to a press release from University of Iowa Athletic Communications, men's basketball player and Cedar Rapids native Josh Oglesby was arrested for public intoxication early Saturday morning in Iowa City.

Not much is known about Oglesby's arrest at this time, but head coach Fran McCaffery has released a statement, saying:

"I was made aware of the incident involving Josh this morning. I will collect all the facts when I return to Iowa City. Once fully informed of the situation, I will visit with Josh and we will operate in accordance with the rules and regulations of our student-athlete Code of Conduct."

This makes four arrests for the Hawkeye men during the off-season.

In April, sophomore guard Peter Jok was arrested for driving a moped drunk. Jok would also be arrested in July for driving a moped without a license.

McCaffrey suspended Jok from the team indefinitely after the second arrest.

In May, former Hawkeye Zach McCabe was charged with assault after hitting another man outside of an Iowa City bar. Those charges against McCabe have been dropped.

In his junior season, Oglesby appeared in 21-games for Iowa, averaging 6.6 points-per-game and winning the teams Most Improved Player award.
