Iowa Unemployment Rate Rises

DES MOINES, IA (CBS2/FOX28) -- Iowa unemployment rate rose slightly to 4.5% in July.  That's up from 4.4% the month before.  The increase is still well below the national average of 6.2% and also below Iowa's unemployment rate a year ago of 4.8%.
  The number of unemployed Iowans increased to nearly 77,000 in July.  The total number of working Iowans also dropped to 1,623,800.
   The most significant drop in job levels came in the trade and transportation sector, where 2,300 jobs were lost last month. So far this  year, the biggest job gains have been found in the health care sector.
