Hamburg Inn No. 2 Back Open

IOWA CITY, IA (CBS2/FOX28) - One of Eastern Iowa's favorite restaurants will be serving customers again today (Monday).
The Hamburg Inn No. 2 was forced to close its doors after a fire broke out in the building's basement back on May 18th.
That fire started after some rags ignited destroying a cooler and causing smoke damage throughout the diner.
Owners estimate repairs for the restaurant cost more than $100,000.
The Hamburg Inn is well-known across the U.S. as a favorite stopping place for Presidential Candidates, especially during caucus time.
Brittany Borghi stopped by the restaurant; just hours before it opened its doors to see what’s new at the Iowa City staple.
