2 Injured in Cedar Rapids Shooting

CEDAR RAPIDS, IA - The Cedar Rapids Police Department is investigating a shots fired incident in the 4100 block of Wilson Avenue SW that was reported at 6:31 p.m. this evening. 

Police officers located shell casings at the scene.  Police were also informed that two victims had checked into area hospitals with minor injuries sustained from the shots fired incident.  Both victims, identified as males between 20-30 years of age, went to the hospital on their own.  One victim checked into St. Luke's Hospital, while the other victim checked into Mercy Medical Center. 

There may have been two vehicles involved in the incident.  The Police Department is continuing to investigate.
