Border Bill Still Stuck in House

WASHINGTON, DC (CBS 2/FOX 28) -- The fight over border security here in the US continues today as house lawmakers considered a slightly revamped piece of immigration legislation.
House Republicans pulled the measure yesterday delaying a planned recess.
The new GOP proposal adds $35 million for national guard soldiers at the Southwest border.
Last night, the Senate rejected a much larger emergency funding measure and members are already leaving town for five weeks.
So even if the action in the House passes, nothing will make it to the President's desk anytime soon.
