Campus Sexual Assault Center Stage in DC

WASHINGTON, D.C. (CBS2/FOX28) - Lawmakers in Washington are set to introduce new legislation in an effort to curb the trend of sexual assaults taking place on college campuses.
The new legislation is aimed at trying to make campus safer and help students who are assaulted feel like they can come forward without feeling pressure.
This comes months after students at the University of Iowa called for that school to take steps to stop sexual assaults on campus.
The bi-partisan group of lawmakers includes Iowa Senator Chuck Grassley and five other senators.
The group has been working throughout the year, looking at current laws and collecting feedback.
