Highway Funding Law Approaching Expiration

WASHINGTON, DC (CBS 2/FOX 28) -- Iowa highway projects will continue despite a looming expiration date for a federal funding law.
The I- DOT says Iowa's road projects won't be affected if the current highway repairs law expires as scheduled on August 1st.
They say they've delayed several projects by a few months in order to prepare.
The bill is currently waiting approval from the House after the Senate made some changes to the original bill.
Iowa Senator Chuck Grassley thinks they'll be seeing the bill one more time before it passes.
The law extension would only run through December 19th.
