DNC Vice Chair Speaks on Christie Visit
DES MOINES, IA (CBS2/FOX28) - The Democratic National Committee vice Chair is speaking out about Chris Christie's possible run for the White House.
On Thursday, Christie met with voters in Iowa to show his support for Governor Branstad.
The DNC vice Chair also came to the Hawkeye state Thursday and while Christie has not said whether he will run for the highest office, R.T. Rybak says the New Jersey Governor is a poor choice for president.
"Chris Christie on T.V. is a very different than the one we've been exposed to, not only the bridge scandal but increasingly just a general sense of retribution that he's practiced. I think this country has enough division right now without trying to elect somebody whose main claim to fame is that he's a bully," said Rybak.
Christie's administration says his visit here is just part of a nationwide tour, to get out and stump for candidates for the upcoming fall election.
Republican Branstad is seeking re-election in November and will face off against democratic challenger Senator Jack Hatch.
