UI Launches New Marketing Campaign

IOWA CITY, IA (CBS2/FOX28) - The University of Iowa launched a marketing blitz Monday.
The campaign will blanket the state with ads designed to reach in-state students and their parents.
This comes after the Iowa Board of Regents redesigned how money will go to the states three public universities. The plan now depends on how many in-state students the universities draw.
Around $500 million in state money is given to the three schools and the boards new plan would mean UI would lose millions in funding and more would go toward Iowa State and the University of Northern Iowa.
Iowans will see the school's pitches on televisions, radios, computers and billboards even a new hashtag - #TheUforIowa -- will debut on Twitter.
