Duck Race Finds New Home

CEDAR RAPIDS, IA (CBS2/FOX28) -- Thousands of plastic ducks hit the water for the Eastern Iowa Duck Race on Saturday.

Over the past six years, the race has raised $300,000 for local youth organizations.

This year, 15,000 ducks were adopted and raced down the pond at Noelridge Park for the first time.

Organizers say they moved the race because they didn't want to have to deal with high water downtown.

The grand prize from the event was $10,000.
