Officials Approve Disincorporation of Tiny Town

MILLVILLE, IA (AP) - Officials have approved the disincorporation of a tiny city in northeast Iowa.

The state's City Development Board recently approved the disincorporation of Millville, a community along the Mississippi River with about 20 residents and few operating businesses. The disincorporation process began last year.

The board will handle outstanding claims against the city, which is located in Clayton County. Legal and historical documents will be moved to the county courthouse.

Surplus tax money will be used on several costs, including street repair.
