Johnson County Issues Boating Ban

JOHNSON COUNTY, IA (CBS 2/FOX 28) -- The Johnson County Sheriff has ordered a boating ban on the Iowa River below the Coralville Dam. Boating will be prohibited on the Iowa River, all creeks and streams and flooded areas that are South of or below the dam at the Coralville Reservoir. It does NOT include the Coralville Lake, Lake MacBride, or the Cedar River. This is subject to change if conditions worsen. The order will go into effect today (Wednesday) at 12:30 PM.
Meanwhile, in Cedar Rapids, the high river level has forced the closure of boat ramps within city limits.
