Russia Calls For Humanitarian Area
MOSCOW, RUSSIA (CBS2/FOX28) - Russian president Vladimir Putin vowed that his country will do everything it can to end the conflict in Eastern Ukraine.
This comes after nearly 300 people onboard Malaysia Airlines Flight 17 were killed, after the jetliner was shot down.
Putin says those who are responsible for shooting the plane down, should pay for their actions.
He also says that humanitarian areas need to be set up, so investigation crews can get to the site safely.
As for who shot down that plane, there's still a lot of finger-pointing.
The Ukrainian government and separatist rebels accuse each other.
Others say Russia is responsible, either by supporting insurgents or actually firing the missile.
