Man Arrested for Harassing School

IOWA CITY, IA (CBS 2/FOX 28) A Solon man is in trouble with the law after Iowa City police say he sent several threatening letters to Regina High School.

An arrest report says Daniel Stone sent letters under the name Regina Parents for Responsible Athletics to the school claiming the Reginas football coaches were giving players performance enhancing drugs, or PEDs.

In the letters, Stone allegedly made unspecified demands and threatened to turn Regina into the Iowa High School Athletic Association.

However, an investigation into Reginas athletic department turned up no evidence that coaches were giving players any drugs.

A DNA test on the letters would point to Stone as the one behind the claims.

Stone faces multiple charges, including third-degree harassment and interference with official acts stemming from his arrest.
