Davenport Mom Leaves Baby in Hot Car

DAVENPORT, IA (CBS2/FOX28) - A Davenport woman admits she left her son in a car for an hour in extremely hot temperatures last week.
The Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier reports that 20-year-old Breyana Harris pleaded guilty on Wednesday.
Police say last Tuesday, someone called 911 after they saw a 6-month-old boy in a car outside a Dollar General.
When police got there, they saw cracked windows and tried to help the baby.  They say Harris came out of the store twenty minutes after they arrived.
She walked out of the store with her 1-year-old daughter.
Both children are now in the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services.
Harris will spend the next two months in jail.
