Man Faced Federal Charges in Meth Fire

CEDAR RAPIDS, IA (CBS 2/FOX 28) A Cedar Rapids man is now facing federal charges for starting a fire while he was making meth in his apartment.

Court records show that 33-year-old Christopher Falls was charged in federal court for meth making earlier this week.

On May 14, police and firefighters responded to Falls apartment building on Park Towne Lane NE for reports of a fire.

Police arrested Falls and another man the next day after an investigation revealed they were attempting to make the meth when the fire broke out in their apartment.

That fire would force and evacuation and would cause smoke damage to the apartment.
