Olin Heavily Damaged by Flood Waters

OLIN, IA (CBS2/FOX28) - The city of Olin is seeing some of the worst flooding in years.

Several homes have water up to their doorways.  Some roads remained underwater on Monday following storms on Sunday night.

The fire department purchased a boat to rescue some people from their homes.

Sandbags have also been made to protect homes being threatened by the rising Wapsipinicon River.  City leaders ask that volunteers go to 308 Wall Street in Olin if they would like to assist.
