Drought Conditions Improving

DES MOINES, IA (CBS 2/FOX 28) Recent storms are bringing a bit of relief to Iowas drought conditions.

According to the latest U.S. drought report released on Thursday, only 40-percent of Iowa is now in a drought. Thats down from 56-percent from the previous reports issued last week.

Drought conditions are also improving across the U.S., where only 30-percent of the country and Puerto Rico have at least moderate drought conditions. That 30-percent is down from 31-percent also reported last week.
