Changes to Come for VEISHEA

AMES, IA (CBS 2/FOX 28) An Iowa State University task force has voted unanimously to discontinue the schools VEISHEA celebration in its current form.
The 16 member task force was comprised after the school suspended this years festivities after students caused a mass disturbance in Ames Campustown area on April 9th.
One person suffered serious injuries during the disturbance after a light pole was knocked down by rioters, hitting them in the head.
No specific changes to the celebration have been made, but one thing that has been discussed is getting rid of the VEISHEA name.
