Primaries Today Vote 2014

Cedar Rapids, IA (CBS 2/FOX 28) The Iowa Primaries have lawmakers across the country keeping one eye on the Hawkeye State.
National media crews were in Des Moines Monday gearing up for coverage of our primaries.
Our senate race is a hot topic because republicans need to win six seats in the senate to gain control. The seat up for grabs has been held by Democratic Senator Tom Harkin.
In Iowa, a candidate needs 35% of the vote to win outright.
Right now, a Des Moines Register survey shows Joni Ernst is ahead of the four other candidates with 36% of GOP voters which would be enough to clinch the win.
Coming up behind is Jacobs with 18 percent.
However, the poll shows does show that 16% of voters are still undecided.
Polls will be open across the state Tuesday from 7 am to 9 pm.
