City to Help Neighborhoods With Debris

CEDAR RAPIDS, IA (CBS 2/FOX28) In the wake of Mondays storms, the City of Cedar Rapids is offering cleanup help to neighborhoods that saw some of the worst damage.
Through June 27, residents of 20th St. to 24th St. NW from Burch to Johnson Avenues SW, 6th St. to 14th St. SW from 16th Avenue to Wilson Avenue SW, along with the subdivision south of Wilson Avenue SW, including Illinois and Wisconsin Avenues SW will be able to bring debris from their trees to the curb for the city to pick up.
Residents in parts not included in the list will still be responsible for their own removal.
A final amount for damage caused by Mondays severe weather will come on Friday. Until then city crews will make their rounds around Cedar Rapids as they continue the cleanup effort.
