Sam's Club to Offer New Credit Cards

CEDAR RAPIDS, IA (CBS2/FOX28) - Sam's Club is set to introduce security-chip enabled credit cards.The chip technology makes it hard to duplicate.The company says it's making the changes in the wake of the massive Target data breach in 2013.The new cards are available later this month.Walmart, the owner of Sam's Club, is expected to issue similar card later this summer.Sam's Club has warehouses in Cedar Rapids, Waterloo, Dubuque, Ames and Des Moines.
