Iowa Scientists Discover Rare Find

MAHASKA COUNTY, IA (CBS2/FOX28) - A group of Iowa scientists is celebrating a discovery.
Over the weekend, they found a mammoth bone at a dig site in Mahaska County.
The group was cleaning up mud and other debris when they accidentally found the bone.
Researchers say the bone looks like a leg or an arm and shows evidence of fractures that could have happened around the time the animal died.
A group from the University of Kansas is now headed to the site. The group does archaeological research for evidence of early humans.
They say that this dig site might bring them more answers.
