Republicans Set Nominating Convention

DES MOINES, IA (CBS2/FOX28) - Republicans have chosen a new location for their June Nominating Convention to select a candidate for the third congressional district.
The Republican Party of Iowa announced a convention of 513 voters will now be held on June 21st at the Des Moines Christian School in Urbandale.
They need a convention because none of the six people running were able to get 35% of the vote during Tuesdays primaries.
State senator Brad Zaun got the most votes but was only able to hold 25 percent.
The winner will face Staci Appel in the November general elections.
