Telling Time Once Again

EDGEWOOD, IA (CBS 2/FOX 28) Sweet sounds that mean so much more were once again heard in Edgewood on Sunday.

At high-noon, the city held a rededication ceremony in its town square for a clock thats more than 125-years-old, but hasnt chimed in more than 50-years, until Sunday.

It took several years of planning and almost eight months of restoration, but Edgewood finally got the opportunity to honor its history.

What better way to show respect to the people who built the town than to restore and keep the things they put here and have them four generations in the future? Edgewood resident, Rosie Totman said. Its just amazing.

Sundays events in Edgewood didnt end at noon though as the chiming of the clock marked the beginning of the towns annual Rodeo Days.
