Jury Selected For Mason City Murder Trial

MASON CITY, IA (AP) - A jury has been selected for the first-degree murder trial of a man accused of killing a 20-month-old Mason City boy in 1994.

Eight men and four women were sworn in Tuesday afternoon. Four alternate jurors also were chosen. Court action will resume Wednesday.

Michael Cisneros, 38, is charged with killing John Snyder Jr., who went missing on July 20, 1994. His body was found the next day in a creek.

Cisneros was arrested in July 2013. Investigators say DNA analysis linked him to the killing. He has pleaded not guilty.
