VA Investigation Looking at Autopsy Reports

Washington D.C. (CBS 2/FOX 29) - Pressure is mounting for the Veterans Affairs Secretary to resign over the national VA healthcare scandal.
On Wednesday, a report from the VA Inspector General said the department's healthcare system is plagued by bad scheduling practices; many say those practices led to deaths that could have been avoided.
In phoenix 1,700 veterans waiting for care right now are not even on a waiting list.
Investigators say the average wait for a first visit is nearly four months.
The Inspector General's office is now looking over autopsy reports to see if wait times contributed to the deaths of patients.
That report is expected out later this summer.
