(CBS 2/FOX 28) - A California woman says she has a rare disease after eating bad eggs linked to Iowa.
Sarah Lewis says, she ate the eggs in 2010 and ended up going to the hospital several times.
On Wednesday, the owners of Quality Egg in Wright County, IA were charged after authorities say they purposefully sold expired eggs to places across the country.
Lewis says she ate some of those eggs, and claims to now have a rare autoimmune disease.
She even testified before congress in 2010, during a hearing about the outbreak which ended up leading to the recall of half a billion eggs.
