Masonic Library Opens the Vault

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (CBS 2/FOX 28) - Corridor history buffs got their blast from the past in Cedar Rapids on Saturday.

The Masonic Library Museum opened the history books for it "From the Vault" exhibit which included various artifacts from history including a Lincoln Letter, and original Book of Mormon, and the first masonic book published by Ben Franklin.

People with the exhibit say it represents what both free masonry and history are all about.

Also on display on Saturday, Mormon Church founder Joseph Smith's account log from his shop in Nauvoo, Illinois and even a lock of George Washington's hair.
