JoCo Supervisors Add Courthouse to Ballot

JOHNSON COUNTY, IA (CBS 2/FOX 28) -- The Johnson County Board of Supervisors is placing another bond referendum for the expansion of the county courthouse on the November ballot.
The current proposal would build a 3-story building that would house up to six new courtrooms, offices and meeting rooms.
The proposed budget is more than $30 million dollars.
This project leaves out any proposed expansions to the county jail.
Past referendums that included adding more space to the county jail have failed in past votes.
