100,000 Iowans Sign Up for Insurance

CEDAR RAPIDS, IA (CBS2/FOX28) - More than 100,000 Iowans are now signed up for insurance through the Iowa Health and Wellness Plans.

Officials say that's far more than they were expecting by this time.

The department of human services expected to have only 90,000 people signed up by the end of 2014.
The Iowa Health and Wellness Plan gives low-income iowans access to quality health care.

It also allows those enrolled to save money by taking part in healthy behaviors.
