US Accuses Chinese Unit of Stealing Secrets

Washington, D.C. (CBS 2/FOX 28) In the national spotlight, the U.S. government has filed criminal charges against employees of the Chinese government.
Washington says the five men worked for a secret unit of the Chinese government and say they have spent years stealing trade secrets from some big U.S. companies.
Reports say the men hacked into companies in the steel, nuclear power and manufacturing industries - raiding highly sensitive research, pricing and strategy information.
American officials say the men drained the U.S. of billions of dollars and put Americans out of jobs by stealing the companies secrets.
China officials are now firing back calling the allegations absurd and fictional.
U.S. Justice Officials say we can expect to uncover similar tech-espionage cases in the future.
