Deadly Oklahoma Wildfire

GUTHRIE, Okla. (CBS 2/FOX 28) -- One man is dead after a wildfire tore through parts of Oklahoma.

From Sunday through the early Monday hours, firefighters from across the state battled flames and worked to save homes and families that were in the fire's path.

The fire began in Guthrie Sunday; about 30 miles north of Oklahoma City. It's already destroyed six homes, several barns and burned four-thousand acres.
Police went door to door to evacuate people as the flames approached; many just stood and watched as their neighborhoods burned.

Right now, emergency crews are looking through damage and say they could still be fighting hot spots for the rest of the week.
