Hundreds Flee From Texas Wildfire

AMARILLO, TX (CBS 2/FOX 28) - Rough weather to the south has hundreds in Texas fleeing to shelter.
A wildfire there has threatened the entire town of Amarillo.
The flames were sparked by strong winds ripping through the panhandle; thick smoke has cast a shadow on the area, blocking out the sun.
Hutchingon county emergency management reported winds gusting-- up to 50 miles per hour.
Crews came to help fight the fire from departments all over the area.
As of Monday morning, more than 100 homes are destroyed and thousands more are in the fires path.
800 people have evacuated to local schools and churches.
Emergency crews are not yet sure what caused the fire but say they will investigate as soon as it's under control.
