Noleridge Farmers Market Opens Friday

Cedar Rapids, IA (CBS 2/FOX 28) - Those 70 degree days make us want to get outside and enjoy the sunshine, and what better way to get out than to peruse the farmers market.
Today, the Noleridge Farmers Market is kicking off the spring season.
Vendors will be selling plants, fresh fruits and veggies, kettle corn, baked goods and even pet treats.
One of the unique things about this market is that it's certified to accept checks from the WIC program so families who need a little extra help can eat healthy and local.
They also offer payment from the Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program.
The market is located on the corner of Collins and Council Street.
It's open Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 4 to 6 in the evening.
