Cedar Rapids Wins Public Works Award

CEDAR RAPIDS, IA (CBS 2/FOX 28) -- The city of Cedar Rapids is being recognized for the second time for its renovations and restorations after the floods of '08.
          The city has been awarded one of the 2014 American Public Works Association "Public Works Projects of the Year," for its work on the Paramount Theater.
    The theater took on 8 ft. of water in the hall of mirrors during the floods.
    Total damage was estimated around $16 million.
    Cedar Rapids previously won the award for the restoration of City Hall.
