New Illinois Gun Proposal

Chicago, IL (CBS 2/FOX 28) - Access to weapons has become a hot topic in one of our neighboring states.
Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel wants to crack down on the sale of guns.
Today (Wednesday), the mayor will introduce a new gun ordinance that would, in part, require gun sales to be videotaped.
The goal is to stop weapons sales on the street as well as to be sure each person who has a gun, legally bought it.
Critics say the law would just end up causing expensive legal battles over weapons charges.
The ordinance comes nearly four years after the U.S. Supreme Court struck down a proposed hand gun ban in the city.
