Governor to Sign Bill to Benefit Students

Des Moines, IA (CBS 2/FOX 28) - Students across Iowa might be able to walk away from school with a lot less debt.
Today (Tuesday) Governor Branstad will sign the Iowa Apprenticeship and Job Training Act.
The bill gives students hands-on apprenticeships where they earn a paycheck.
Last year, the Governor's Office says there were just over 8,000 apprentices here in the Hawkeye state compared to nearly half a million across the country.
The governor says the bill will give incentives to businesses and enhance our workforce as those students graduate.
