CR Discusses FEMA Money

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (CBS 2/Fox 28) -- Cedar Rapids city officials spoke out Monday about money that it has received to pay for repairs at the city's Water Pollution Control Facility.

Officials filed an appeal with the Federal Emergency Management Agency after its funding was reduced from $63 million to $8 million.  The city appealed the decision saying that they have already paid a large amount.

Funding from FEMA also went towards paying for most of the cost of a flood wall and berm project at the facility.
