Three U.S. Automakers Issue Recalls

Three U.S. automakers issues recalls for thousands of cars.General Motors has recalled more than 8500, 2014 Buick Lacrosse and Malibu Sedans. The company says rear brake rotors were mistakenly installed on front wheels. There haven't been any accidents reported because of the flaw.Ford has recalled 692,000 Escape SUV's made between 2013 and 2014. The automaker says a software glitch can stop the side curtain air bags from inflating in certain types of crashes.The vehicles also need to be inspected to make sure the outside door handles latch properly.Chrysler has recalled nearly 800,000 minivans made betwee 2010 to 2014 because a power window switch can short circuit and overheat. The company says they've had 36 reports of problems after the switch became wet from beverage spills or rain.
