Celebrating Easter in the Corridor
Cedar Rapids, IA (CBS 2/FOX 28)- With all the Easter festivities, Corridor residents spent time with their families or reflecting on their faith.
Patricia Jared was spending time with her daughter and granddaughters at Noelridge Park.
"I love watching my grandkids," she said. "It's fun. I don't get out often."
She got to watch her granddaughters play at the park after eating McDonald's.
But she wasn't the only one enjoying Easter. Some Corridor residents attended local churches.
At Cornerstone church in Marion, people worshipped, listened to the morning's sermon and focused on Jesus defeating death,
"For Christians, the resurrection tells us that Jesus is Lord," Pastor Matt Proctor said.
And then after church, some families enjoyed Easter Brunch at local restaurants around town.
" I like to see the friendly faces come on in," Cibo Fusion General Manager Paul Wilson said. "It's big
in the community so they have a place to go to that serves good food."
Even though Easter means something different to everyone, it's a holiday bringing families together.
