Fuel Prices Steady in Iowa

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (CBS 2/Fox 28) -- Fuel prices in Iowa have remained steady during the past week, with an average price of $3.61 per gallon.

The national average has increased 2.3 cents during the past week to $3.62 per gallon.

Prices are about 20 cents higher now than they were a year ago and 8 cents higher now than a month ago.

The national average is now at its highest level since last August.  High prices are expected to persist through the Memorial Day weekend.
