Airlines Announce Changes to Frequent Flyers Program

American airlines and U.S. airways have made changes to their frequent flyer program.

Passengers who use American frequent flyer flights or those who pay full price for an economy seat, will now be charged for all checked bags.

U.S. Airways is ending blackout days for its freqent flyer flights. American and U.S Airways merged in December.

The changes are designed to bring policies of the two, closer together.

A spokesperson for American Airlines says the changes will also increase revenue.
