Linn County Courthouse Fully Re-Opening

LINN COUNTY, IA (CBS 2/FOX 28) -- Earlier this month, the Linn county board of supervisors proclaimed April as National County Government Month.

Tuesday, county officials celebrated the occasion - and marked a fresh start - by celebrating the full re-opening of the Linn County courthouse after the floods of 2008.

They hosted a ribbon cutting and open house to give people a glimpse of all of the work that has been done to restore the building.
The courthouse was constructed in 1925. It's taken $6.5 million dollars to restore the building and update it with modern equipment.
