Boston Marathon Proposal

Cedar Rapids, IA (CBS 2/FOX 28) - For the first time in decades, an American man won the Boston Marathon.

Meb Keflezighi crossed the finish line in 2 hours 8 minutes and 37 seconds.

Hes the first American to win the race since 1983 - and he dedicated his victory to the victims of last year's bombing by writing the names of the bombing victims on his runners bib.

But he wasn't the only one celebrating at the finish line; a marriage proposal was also caught on camera.

John Duncan crossed the finish line and immediately proposed to his girlfriend and fellow runner.

Next years race is set for Monday, April 20th.
