Sexual Exploitation Law

Cedar Rapids, IA (CBS 2/FOX 28) - Meanwhile, more legislation is on the Governor's desk this morning,
Yesterday, the Senate passed a law that would add school coaches to the list of educators who are not allowed sexual relationships with students.
Before the list covered teachers, administrators and licensed professionals.
This comes after the Iowa Supreme Court overturned the conviction of a Bloomfield school coach who had sex with a 16-year-old on his team.
The courts hands were tied, judges ruled that coaches could not be convicted of sexual exploitation because they are not considered school employees under the law.
The law is now waiting for the Governor's signature.
