Emergency Landing At Eastern Iowa Airport

CEDAR RAPIDS (CBS 2/FOX 28) -- A plane was forced to make an emergency landing Friday evening at the Eastern Iowa Airport.

Officials say as the private plane was coming in for a landing, its front landing gear wouldn't retract. The pilot was able to safely land the plane without the gear, leaving the plane sitting on its nose on the runway.

Officials tell CBS 2/FOX 28 News all arriving and departing flights were put on hold until they knew everyone on the plane was okay.

There were no significant delays caused by the emergency landing.
