UPDATED:Police Investigate Shooting In Iowa City
IOWA CITY, IA (CBS 2/FOX 28) -- Police are investigating a shooting in Iowa City.
At 11:52 p.m. Friday Night the Iowa City Police Department responded to the 2600 block of Bartelt Rd. reports of shots fired.
Officers arrived and found one adult female who had been shot. Officers were able to aid the woman until the Iowa City Fire Department and Johnson County Ambulance arrived on scene to assist. The victim was transported to University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics for treatment. Her injuries are being considered non-life threatening.
This remains an active criminal investigation and anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Iowa City Area CrimeStoppers at 358-TIPS (8477). The Iowa City Area CrimeStoppers is offering up to a $1000 cash reward for information leading to the arrest of this suspect. All calls are held in strict confidence and anonymity is guaranteed. Individuals providing information do not have to reveal their identity to collect a reward.
